Basics of Teaching

Who can teach a class on Edunomi?

Anyone can teach a class on Edunomi! There’s no application or approval process, and you don’t need to have teaching experience. Our teachers are creatives, entrepreneurs, and professionals who are great at what they do and passionate about sharing their skills with others. Each has a unique background, perspective and teaching style.

What does an Edunomi class include?

An Edunomi class includes a series of short (2-5 minute), pre-recorded video lessons that walk students through the process of creating a fun and engaging class project. Students interact with you and their classmates in the Community section and post their projects to the Project Gallery for feedback.

What should I teach?

You can teach any topic you’re passionate about! Our most successful classes teach a creative skill with a real-world application. To get started, it helps to think about what skills you’d be most confident sharing with others. Specialized classes that teach a distinct skill tend to be the most popular. Head to our Teacher Handbook for tips for coming up with a great class topic.

How do I get started on my class?

How long does it take to create a class?

Like most teachers on Edunomi, you’re probably working on other projects and have limited time to spare on your class. The good news is that it doesn’t take as much time as you think – typically only 1-3 weeks. After putting together a class outline, most teachers film their classes in just one afternoon.
